Wetpaint.com: Despite the very limited release of her movie, Margaret, Anna Paquin is earning accolades for her strong performance. And today, she received a nomination from the London Critics Circle for their Best Actress award!

Anna plays a high school student who may have caused a bus accident. Mark Ruffalo and Matt Damon also star in th emovie.

Margaret has been shelved since 2007, while director Kenneth Lonergan tried to produce a final version he was satisfied with.

Finally, after threats of lawsuits, Martin Scorsese and his editor, Thelma Schoonmaker, created a cut that Lonergan approved. Fox Searchlight then released the movie in September in very few locations.

But there’s hope for Paquin fans hoping to see the film: The New Yorker reports that Margaret is returning for a run at a New York City theater. Perhaps other locations will soon follow!

Stephen-Moyer.net: Steve and Anna’s new film, “Free Ride,” will start shooting in Sarasota sometime this month, according to Brandenton.com.

The movie takes place in late 1970s Florida. After fleeing an abusive relationship, Mom turns to the marijuana trade to support her daughters, ages 15 and 7. It’s based on the real-life story of writer/director Shana Sosin, the youngest of the siblings.

Paquin plays Sosin’s mother Christina. … “My mother was a very vibrant character and very good at surviving,” Sosin said this afternoon while location scouting in Sarasota. “There’s something very raw and real about Anna’s performance and person; she’s retained that rawness my mother had.”

De Matteo, who won a 2004 Emmy Award for playing Adriana La Cerva on “The Sopranos,” has been cast as Sandy in “Free Ride.”

“She’s the one who gets my mom into the marijuana trade,” Sosin said.

Liana Liberato, best known for her work in the 2010 Clive Owen movie “Trust,” plays the writer/director’s older sister.

“This movie is about a single mother who’s uneducated and doing the best she can and she’s not your typical drug dealer,” Sosin said. “It’s also my homage to the end of innocence in America as well as a love letter to my sister and my mother.”

The filmmaker is looking for extras from the Scare-a-sota area (raise your hand if you remember Dr. Paul Bearer and his nicknames for Florida towns!) who “are rough around the edges with long hair, very tan locals,” she said. “The kind of guys who would work fishing boats and bikers with handlebar mustaches.” If you’re interested in working as an extra send an e-mail message to icastingextras@gmail.com. Steve Moyer will join forces with Anna Paquin and Susan Dynnar to produce the movie “Free Ride”. This Aberration Films project, written and directed by Shana Sosin, will have Anna Paquin in the role of Christina, but as far as we can tell no one else has been cast. And honestly, we have very little information to share with you as yet.

Synopsis: A single mom caught up in the Florida drug trade during the late 1970s tries to make a better life for her two girls.

Steve has mentioned in the past that not only would he like to produce, but he would love to direct Anna in a movie. It looks like he may be fulfilling one of his dreams here with his first production.

Fox, and ‘True Blood’s’ Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer as the cast of the teen vampire movie.

True Blood star Anna Paquin is becoming more and more dangerous, and not just because her hands shoot white light out of them when she gets mad. The Oscar-winning Paquin is now the 7th most dangerous celebrity to search for online, according to McAfee’s annual ‘most dangerous celebrities’ study.

The star came in tenth last year.

The celebrity search most likely to land you with malware is model and reality TV star Heidi Klum, who replaced actress Cameron Diaz at the top spot. There is a nearly one in ten chance of coming across a dangerous website while searching for klum.

Searching for Diaz is still dangerous, as she came in second. In third place was the most dangerous male celebrity, Piers Morgan.

In New Zealand, most people who fall victim to cyber crime are searching for celebrities, PC Tools told PC World last year.

Indie producer Nu Image/Millenium Films is lining up « Straight A’s, » to star Anna Paquin and Ryan Phillippe.

Nu Image developed the comedy under the radar, with production starting today at Nu Image’s studios in Shreveport, La. James Cox is directing from Dave Cole’s script.

Holly Wiersma and Rene Besson are producing, with Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson and Lati Grobman exec producing.

Phillippe portrays a man who’s been in and out of rehab for 10 years and is haunted by the ghost of his dead mother pressing him to return home to the family he turned his back on years ago. Outfitted with nothing more than a bag of pills and a sack of weed, he trots back to Shreveport, only to be faced with his brother’s wife, who’s still pining for him, her first love.

« Shooting this film at our own production facility Millennium Studios reinforces our commitment to the state of Louisiana and its local economy, » said Lerner, co-chairman of Nu Image.

Wiersma worked with Cox previously on « Wonderland » and is producing « Billionaire Boys Club, » with Cox directing.

« True Blood » star Paquin will be seen next month in Fox Searchlight’s « Margaret. » Phillippe, last seen in « The Lincoln Lawyer, » will appear in « Set Up » with Curtis « 50 Cent » Jackson and Bruce Willis.

Paquin and Phillippe are both repped by WME.

The Canadian-born actress is best known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO series True Blood, for which she has won a Golden Globe Award for best actress.

The 28-year-old is married to her co-star Stephen Moyer, but insists that working together and being involved romantically doesn’t bother her.

« No. I miss him when he leaves,” she said, when asked if working and living together is sometimes too much. “That’s nauseating, I know. My me-time requirements are quite small.”

The blonde beauty dedicates time to her fitness routine. Anna’s character Sookie favours tiny white shorts in the television drama, and the fear of not looking her best in the unforgiving attire spurs her on to maintain her gorgeous physique.

« If you’re going to be spending literally every single day of your working life wearing clothes that barely cover your body, you’re gonna be extra-diligent, » she confessed in an interview with Health magazine. « There’s just a little extra motivation of, ‘Hmmm, teeny white shorts and a bikini top? I think I will go to Pilates this morning.’ »

Anna insists her family keep her down to earth. Despite working in a non-conventional industry at such a young age – Anna won an Oscar at the age of 11 for her appearance in The Piano – her feet were kept on the ground.

« I have a really, really, really normal family. And by normal I mean we’re all nuts on some level. I think you’ve gotta be a little nuts to pursue any kind of creative job. I was also a really good kid, » she explained.

The actress also revealed she is a fan of another television series. Anna is in awe of American screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin whose work includes serial drama The West Wing.

« I re-watch – and when I say the entire series, I literally mean the entire series of – The West Wing every year. I’m sort of secretly stalking Aaron Sorkin. I’m obsessed with his work. I think he’s a genius,” she revealed.
